Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, MP, the Chief Coordinator of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, has urged party leaders and activists to practice positive politics rather than engaging in retaliatory actions. This appeal comes in response to recent remarks made by leaders of a political party in Pabna district.
Positive Politics and Public Welfare
In his statement, Shimul Biswas highlighted that politics should be a place of love, trust, and confidence. He emphasized that true politicians must understand the language of people's minds and eyes, their expectations, and prioritize public welfare. He believes that politics that win people's hearts are more powerful and enduring than strategies aimed at defeating political opponents.
Qualities of a Genuine Political Leader
Shimul Biswas outlined the qualities ordinary people expect from politicians, including humanity, honesty, wisdom, morality, and ideals. He stressed that genuine political leaders should exhibit patriotism, integrity, and dedication to public service. Politicians should lead honest lives and stand by the masses.
Restraint, Patience, and Wisdom
Shimul Biswas also discussed the importance of restraint, patience, and wisdom in the current political environment. He advised political workers not to be influenced by provocative remarks or motivated activities but to assess the reality before making decisions. He noted that ill-intentioned individuals may create unnecessary controversy, and conscientious political workers must exercise sound judgment.
