The number of deaths with measles symptoms in Bangladesh has reached 685.

One more child has died with symptoms of measles, raising the total number of deaths with measles symptoms to 685 between March 15 and July 16, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The DGHS recorded 873 new suspected measles cases during the last 24 hours.

Rising Measles Cases and Deaths

From March 15 to July 16, a total of 98,600 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals across the country. Of these, 95,031 patients have recovered and been discharged. No death from laboratory-confirmed measles was reported during the past 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 95 people have died from confirmed measles.

Health Services Response

The DGHS continues to monitor the situation closely, providing updates on the number of suspected and confirmed cases. Efforts are ongoing to control the spread of the disease and provide necessary medical care to affected individuals.
