Tollywood actress Mimi Chakraborty has refuted reports claiming that a chargesheet has been filed against her in the Bongaon court and that she has been asked to appear before the court within 10 days. In a strongly worded legal notice, Mimi called these reports 'completely false, baseless, and defamatory.'
In a letter sent to the media on Monday, Mimi clarified that not only has no such legal action been taken against her, but no FIR has been filed either. She directly criticized several top-tier portals for their reports, which were based on allegations made by Tanoy Shastri. Mimi expressed her frustration, stating that the media failed to verify the facts before spreading the news. She described the allegations as 'completely false, defamatory, motivated, and devoid of truth.'
Mimi emphasized that no chargesheet has been filed against her in the Bongaon court and that there is no criminal record or FIR in her name to date. She warned against the spread of such false news in the future, holding the media responsible for any legal consequences and costs if they continue to publish unverified reports.
