Naogaon University Launches Academic Year with Vibrant Ceremony

Naogaon University formally launched its academic activities today.

Naogaon University formally launched its academic activities today with a colourful ceremony, marking the beginning of the institution's educational journey. Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon inaugurated the academic activities by unveiling the university's name plaque at around 11:30 am at its temporary campus in the Barunkandi Circle area of Naogaon town.

Following the inauguration, the minister visited the university's classrooms, modern library, and computer laboratory. Later, Dr. Milon joined a meeting with distinguished citizens and attended a reception programme for newly admitted students at the Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium.

The ceremony was attended by State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed, UGC Member Prof Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel, Vice-Chancellor of Naogaon University Prof Dr. Mohammad Hasanat Ali, lawmakers from Naogaon's six parliamentary constituencies, the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police.

The establishment of Naogaon University is a significant step towards expanding higher education opportunities in the region. It is expected to contribute positively to the educational landscape of Bangladesh by providing quality education and fostering academic excellence.
