The government is set to install CCTV cameras in every classroom in secondary and higher secondary educational institutions to ensure proper teaching and improve the quality of education across the country. Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced this initiative while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 210th Foundation Training Course at the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) in Dhaka.

Monitoring System to be Implemented

Dr. Milon stated that a central monitoring cell will be established to oversee educational institutions effectively. This system will allow live monitoring of any classroom at any time, ensuring that teaching standards are maintained.

Improving Learning Environment

The minister highlighted the importance of a well-maintained learning environment. He pointed out that many educational institutions have unhygienic and unclean toilets, which discourage both teachers and students. Dr. Milon stressed that toilets in all educational institutions must be kept clean and hygienic, warning that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

Enhancing Teachers' Professional Dignity

Dr. Milon emphasized the need to enhance the professional dignity of teachers. He believes that improving the quality of education requires raising the social and institutional status of teachers. The minister suggested that the education system should be reformed to naturally encourage talented individuals to join the teaching profession.

The inaugural ceremony of the 210th Foundation Training Course was chaired by NAEM Director General Prof. Dr. Wasim Md Mazbahul Haque. Additional Secretary (Admin & Finance) of Secondary and Higher Education Division Md. Shahjahan Miah and Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Bangladesh, Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel attended the event as special guests. Senior NAEM officials and participants of the foundation training course were also present.
