Tk 97 Lakh Stolen from Lavender Group Chairman's Car Recovered, Driver Detained

Industrial Police have detained a driver accused of stealing Tk one crore from the vehicle of the chairman of Lavender Group and recovered Tk 97 lakh of the stolen cash within 48 hours of the incident.

Industrial Police have detained a driver accused of stealing Tk one crore from the vehicle of the chairman of Lavender Group and recovered Tk 97 lakh of the stolen cash within 48 hours of the incident. The accused, identified as Jahid, was tracked down and detained from Jhenaidah following an intensive operation by the Industrial Police, Gazipur. Acting promptly after receiving information about the theft, Industrial Police launched a coordinated operation, identified the suspect and detained him from Jhenaidah within 48 hours, said Additional Inspector General of Industrial Police Gazi Jashim Uddin. He said Tk 97 lakh out of the Tk one crore allegedly stolen from the chairman's vehicle has been recovered.

The incident came to light when the chairman of Lavender Group reported the theft of Tk one crore from his vehicle. The stolen amount was reportedly kept in the vehicle after a business transaction. The swift action by the Industrial Police has led to the recovery of a significant portion of the stolen cash and the detention of the suspected driver.
