Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) is conducting a 9-day roadshow in the US from June 5 to 13 to strengthen global semiconductor industry ties and involve Bangladeshi-origin technologists in domestic technological advancement. The roadshow, in collaboration with Silicon River and Braingain, will visit various US technology and semiconductor centers. Participants include industry representatives, university researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, technology executives, policymakers, and expatriate Bangladeshis.
The initiative is led by BSIA President M A Jabbar and Professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain, Chief Architect of Silicon River Bangladesh Initiative and Purdue University. The delegation includes BSIA leaders, industry and academic representatives, Braingain Network members, and officials from the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington.
M A Jabbar stated, 'Bangladesh's greatest strength is its people. Through Silicon River and Braingain, we aim to connect global experience, knowledge, and leadership with Bangladesh's future. Our goal is to create new opportunities for the next generation and establish Bangladesh as a key partner in the future technology economy.'
Professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain added, 'The future of Bangladesh's semiconductor industry depends on skilled human resources, international partnerships, and long-term cooperation. This roadshow aims to build stronger relationships among industry, academia, entrepreneurs, investors, and expatriate Bangladeshis, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange, innovation, employment, and technology development.'
Organizers expect the roadshow to strengthen Bangladesh's relationship with the global semiconductor industry and open new avenues for cooperation in research, chip design, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence (AI), technology entrepreneurship, and emerging technology sectors.
