Additionally, 34 new cases were reported in Khulna division, 23 in Mymensingh division, 17 in Rajshahi division, and 2 in Sylhet division, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services.
This year, Bangladesh has recorded 15,681 dengue cases and 54 deaths, making it one of the worst dengue outbreaks in recent years. The situation is notably worse compared to last year, when 1,02,861 people were affected, and 413 lives were lost. The previous year, in 2024, saw 1,01,214 dengue cases and 575 fatalities.
