The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined Mr. Bright Cake & Pastry Shop Tk 4,000 for selling cakes, pastries, and foreign chocolates without the required BSTI approval. The mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Shahriar Islam Nasif and BSTI officer Engineer Junaid Ahmed, took action in the Alokar Mor area of Rajshahi.

Unapproved Products

The shop was penalized for manufacturing, selling, and distributing 'decorated cakes' without BSTI's quality certificate. Additionally, it was found selling foreign 'chocolates and lozenges' that were imported illegally without clearance and valid import documents.
