Gazipur MPs and Government Employees Pledge Salaries to PM's Relief Fund

Members of Parliament and government employees from Gazipur district have decided to donate part of their salaries to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to support flood-affected people.

In a significant humanitarian move, Members of Parliament (MPs) from all five constituencies of Gazipur district and government officials and employees have decided to donate part of their salaries to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund. This initiative aims to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the ongoing floods.

Unanimous Decision at District Meeting

The decision was taken unanimously at the district law and order committee's regular monthly meeting held at the Bhawal Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner's office. Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md Nurul Karim Bhuiyan chaired the meeting.

MPs to Donate One Month's Salary

Gazipur-5 lawmaker AKM Fazlul Haque Milon announced that he would donate one month's basic salary to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund in view of the devastating floods. Following his announcement, lawmakers representing the district's five parliamentary constituencies agreed to donate their one month's full salary to the fund.

Government Employees to Contribute One Day's Salary

The meeting also decided that government officials and employees working in the district would contribute one day's basic salary to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund. The contributions will be collected within the next three working days and sent to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.

Widespread Support and Hope for Example

Deputy Commissioner Md Nurul Karim Bhuiyan immediately expressed support for the initiative, while heads of various government offices in the district also pledged participation on behalf of the officials and employees of their respective departments.
