The raid, conducted by RAB-6, took place in the Thanarpara area under Ward No. 2 of Kotalipara municipality as part of the force's ongoing campaign against drugs. The suspect, identified as Sajib Mia, was detained following a search that uncovered the illicit drugs.

Operation Details

The operation was executed around 11:45 AM by RAB-6 (Sadar Company, Bhatiapara Camp) based on intelligence inputs. The team challenged Sajib Mia, leading to a search that resulted in the recovery of the Yaba tablets. RAB officials stated that the operation was part of their commitment to the government's "zero tolerance" policy against drugs.

Legal Action and Ongoing Efforts

Following the arrest, a case was filed against Sajib Mia under the Narcotics Control Act with Kotalipara Police Station. He was subsequently handed over to the police for further legal proceedings. RAB-6 pledged to continue their intelligence surveillance and special drives to combat drug trafficking and bring those involved to justice.
