A colorful rally was held in Rajshahi today to celebrate National Rural Development Day-2026, themed 'Developed Villages, Prosperous Country, Bangladesh First.' The event was organized by the Divisional Administration, District Administration, and the Divisional and District Offices of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB), Rajshahi.

The rally was inaugurated at the Divisional Commissioner's Office premises with the release of balloons and festoons. Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, was present as the chief guest. Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended as a special guest. The event was presided over by Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. A.N.M. Bazlur Rashid. Also present as special guests were DIG of Rajshahi Range Mohammad Shahjahan and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir.
