Rain or thundershowers are likely across Bangladesh in the next 24 hours, commencing from 9am, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are expected at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

Expected Rainfall and Temperature Changes

The BMD's Met Office bulletin indicates that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at various places across the country. Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country. The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under Rajshahi division and Sayedpur under Rangpur division, while today's minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius in Sylhet under Sylhet division.

Recent Rainfall and Sunset Details

In the last 24 hours till 6am today, Bandarban recorded the highest rainfall of 28 millimetres. The sun will set at 6:48pm today and rise at 5:21am tomorrow in Dhaka.
