Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today vowed that the government would not tolerate any negligence or irregularities in development projects and public service delivery. Addressing a citizens' gathering at the District Lawyers' Association auditorium in Lakshmipur, Anee stressed that 'no negligence or irregularities will be allowed in any development or service-oriented work.'

The minister highlighted that the government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has been working relentlessly to accelerate the country's development since assuming office. He noted that 'visible development and progress have been achieved across the country within the past three months.'

Lakshmipur's Progress

In Lakshmipur, Anee pointed out significant development initiatives, including the realization of railway connectivity, a long-standing demand of the district's residents. Additionally, Chandraganj has been upgraded to an upazila, and a medical college and a nursing institute have been established in the district. Lakshmipur has also gained an independent university.
