Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh will not be part of Australia's squad for the three-match ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh. Leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha is also missing due to injury. Matt Short, Ollie Peake, and Todd Murphy have been included in the squad in their place. Josh Inglis will captain the ODI team in Marsh's absence.

Head, who was expected to join the team after a brief rest following the IPL, has taken leave for personal reasons. Marsh is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained during the Pakistan series. Sangha's hamstring injury has ruled him out as well.

Australia's white-ball squad started arriving in Dhaka last Tuesday. The first batch included players from the Pakistan tour, followed by another group from Australia. Marsh and Head were not part of these contingents.

Australian selector Tony Dodemaide mentioned that Head was initially included in both the ODI and T20I squads but was later granted leave for personal reasons. Dodemaide expects Head to be available for the home Test series against Bangladesh in August.

Marsh's ankle injury flared up during the IPL, causing him to miss the Pakistan series. Although it was hoped he would be fit for the Bangladesh tour, Dodemaide confirmed he will miss the ODIs but is expected to be available for the T20Is. Inglis will captain the T20I team if Marsh does not recover in time.

Short and Peake, who were initially part of the Pakistan ODI series squad, have been retained for the Bangladesh tour. Off-spinner Todd Murphy has been called up for the first time, replacing the injured Sangha.

The ODI series in Dhaka begins tomorrow, while the first T20I in Chittagong is scheduled for June 17.
