Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, BNP Chairman's Special Assistant and Chief Coordinator of the Road Transport Owners-Workers Coordination Council, today highlighted the importance of cooperation between transport workers and owners to enhance the dynamism of the country’s transport sector. Speaking at an urgent view-exchange meeting in Dhaka, he emphasized the commitment to establish fair rights for transport workers, ensuring a safe working environment and social security.

The meeting, chaired by Abdur Rahim Box Dudu, brought together labour and transport leaders from across the country to address various professional crises, rights, security, and ongoing problems faced by road transport workers. The gathering aimed to resolve these issues through dialogue and mutual understanding.

Shimul Biswas noted that the road transport sector is a crucial driving force of the country's economy and must be modernized through mutual harmony and cooperation between workers and owners. He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to implement the reasonable demands of transport workers in coordination with all concerned parties.

He called upon all stakeholders, including workers and owners, to collaborate in improving discipline, safety, and service quality in the road transport sector. Md Humayun Kabir Khan, BNP Joint Labour Affairs Secretary and Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation General Secretary, also stressed the need for unity among workers to effectively resolve ongoing problems through talks and organizational strength.

Representatives of various road transport workers' organizations praised Advocate Shimul Biswas's efforts in resolving the ongoing crisis in the transport sector, ensuring the fair rights of workers, and promoting overall development. They expressed their determination to continue working together under his leadership.
