Dhaka Police Arrest 431 in Anti-Crime Operations

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 431 people and filed 23 cases in anti-crime drives across the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 431 people and filed 23 cases in its regular anti-crime drives across the capital. The arrests were made in various police station areas as part of DMP's ongoing crime prevention operations. Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.

Among the arrestees, 33 were detained by the Ramna Division, 21 by Lalbagh, 48 by Wari, 34 by Motijheel, 48 by Tejgaon, 135 by Mirpur, 51 by Gulshan, 53 by Uttara and eight by the Detective Branch (DB).

During the operations, police seized 82.5 kilograms of cannabis, 3,256 yaba tablets, 175 bottles of phensedyl, 494.12 grams of gold ornaments, one motorcycle, one pickup truck, one bus and five mobile phones. Police also rescued one victim during the drives.
