BNP Unveils 151-Member Executive Committee for Cumilla City Unit

BNP has announced the formation of a 151-member executive committee for its Cumilla city unit, along with a nine-member advisory council.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced the formation of a 151-member full executive committee for its Cumilla city unit. The committee includes key roles such as President, General Secretary, and various sector-specific positions. Additionally, a nine-member advisory council has been established to provide guidance.

Udbatul Bari Abu has been appointed as the President, and Md. Yusuf Molla Tipu as the General Secretary of the committee. The advisory council comprises prominent members including Begum Rabeya Chowdhury, Fazlul Haque Fazlu, and others.

Other significant appointments include Nazrul Islam VP as Senior Vice-President, Khalilur Rahman Biplob as Senior Joint Secretary, and Ahammed Shoaib Sohel as Treasurer. The committee also features 15 Vice-Presidents, 10 Joint Secretaries, and six Organising Secretaries.

The newly formed committee will be responsible for various sectors such as office administration, law, women, youth, students, labour, volunteers, training, information and research, expatriate welfare, religion, human rights, health, environment, relief and rehabilitation, sports and culture, local government, industry and commerce, and weavers, fishermen and ethnic affairs.

This development is part of BNP’s ongoing organisational activities aimed at strengthening its presence and operations in Cumilla city. The formation of the committee and advisory council signifies the party’s commitment to structured governance and effective management at the local level.
