Successful candidates for the 2025 batch of assistant teacher positions in government primary schools have called for the opportunity to join before undergoing training. They made this appeal in a press release on Sunday.

The release stated that the prolonged recruitment process has caused uncertainty and mental stress among the recommended candidates. Many have left previous employment to prepare for teaching and are currently awaiting the completion of the recruitment process without any stable job, affecting their livelihood and future plans.

The recommended candidates have requested the swift issuance of appointment letters after the verification process is completed. The final results of the recruitment were announced on February 8, with 14,384 candidates passing. Health checks and document verification were conducted from February 22 to March 1. According to the rules, they should have joined immediately afterward, but the entire process has been stalled for two months.

Meanwhile, police verification for the 14,384 successful candidates for assistant teacher positions in government primary schools is ongoing. The government intends to issue appointment letters to the selected candidates but will finalize their appointments only after they successfully complete PTI (Primary Teacher Training Center) training.

Shahina Ferdousi, Director General of the Primary Education Department, recently told Prothom Alo that the entire recruitment process for assistant teachers is being conducted according to the ministry's instructions. Police verification is currently underway in the districts. Appointment letters will be issued once this process is completed. However, the final appointments will be made after the completion of PTI training.
