State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury today conducted a surprise inspection of Nandail Upazila Health Complex in Mymensingh to assess the quality of healthcare services and facilities available to patients. During his visit, he toured various wards and departments, engaging with patients and their families to gather firsthand insights into the hospital's services. The state minister also provided directives to the medical staff and hospital authorities to enhance the quality of healthcare for the local community. This visit follows his previous request to upgrade the 51-bed facility to a 101-bed hospital, a proposal that has since been approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Local residents are optimistic that these efforts will lead to improved healthcare services in the region.

Yasser Khan Choudhury, who represents the Mymensingh-9 (Nandail) constituency, had earlier submitted a demi-official letter to the health minister advocating for the expansion of Nandail Upazila Health Complex. The government has now issued an order to increase the hospital's capacity to 101 beds, reflecting a commitment to better serve the community's healthcare needs. The state minister's visit underscores the government's focus on enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services at the grassroots level.
