Jagannath University Names New Deans for Law and Science Faculties

Jagannath University has appointed new deans for its Law and Science faculties.

Jagannath University has appointed new deans for its Law and Science faculties. Professor Shahidul Islam from the Law Department and Professor Mohammad Syed Alam from the Chemistry Department have been appointed as deans for the next two years. The appointments were made following the expiration of the current deans' terms on June 15.

The appointments were announced in separate office orders signed by Acting Registrar Professor Mo. Sheikh Gias Uddin. According to the orders, the appointments are in accordance with Section 22(5) of the Jagannath University Act, 2005. Professor Shahidul Islam will take over as Dean of the Law Faculty from June 16, while Professor Mohammad Syed Alam will assume the role of Dean of the Science Faculty on the same date.

The notification states that the new deans will receive allowances and other benefits as per the rules during their tenure.
