The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MoPME) has finalized a series of programmes to observe July Martyrs' Day on July 16 and July Uprising Day on August 5 across all educational institutions and offices under its jurisdiction. The decision was taken at a recent meeting chaired by ministry Secretary Md. Sakhawat Hossain.
Programmes for July Martyrs' Day
To mark July Martyrs' Day on July 16, discussions will be organized at all educational institutions across the country. These discussions aim to remember and honour the July martyrs.
Activities for July Uprising Day
On July Uprising Day, observed on August 5, educational institutions will arrange various activities including essay writing, recitation, and drawing competitions. These activities will highlight the significance of the day.
The Directorate of Primary Education, the Bureau of Non-Formal Education, the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE), the Shishu Kallyan Trust, and the Compulsory Primary Education Implementation Monitoring Unit have been tasked with implementing these programmes.
The meeting emphasized the importance of proper observance of these two events and called upon all concerned departments and institutions to take necessary steps to ensure their success.
