The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has achieved a remarkable international milestone as its student team 'MIST MAVIROV' became the champion at the MATE ROV International Underwater Robot Competition 2026 held in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada from June 23-27. The team, formed by students of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE), secured the top position among 77 teams from 16 countries.
