Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) and Janata Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding digital financial services and modernizing the university's transaction systems. The MoU was signed by Registrar Engineer Mohammad Anisur Rahman Bhuyan on behalf of KUET and General Manager (In-Charge) Abul Kalam Azad from Janata Bank.

Signing Ceremony

The signing ceremony took place at a function held in the administrative building of KUET. The event was attended by KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Masum, who highlighted the importance of the agreement in enhancing digital financial services and making the university's transaction system more modern, efficient, and user-friendly.

Benefits of the MoU

Under the MoU, KUET students, teachers, officers, employees, and service recipients will be able to conduct various financial transactions through modern digital platforms. This includes using Janata Bank's online and mobile banking platforms such as Janota-Pay and E-Janota, as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Nexus Card, and Mobile Financial Services (such as bKash, Rocket, and Nagad).

The collaboration is expected to make transaction processes more automated, simpler, and time-saving. The event was also attended by various deans, institute directors, departmental heads, and senior officials from KUET, as well as Deputy General Manager Mohammad Zakir Hossain and Assistant General Manager Manjuara from Janata Bank's KUET Corporate Branch.

The agreement is anticipated to significantly benefit the KUET community by providing easier, faster, and secure ways to conduct financial transactions.
