A video showing a physical altercation between two teachers at Kabirhat Government College in Noakhali has gone viral on social media. The Secondary and Higher Education Division has formed a two-member committee to investigate the incident.
The video, reportedly from April 9, shows the college's acting principal Mamunur Rashid and assistant professor Nurul Haque engaged in a physical altercation in the teachers' common room. The committee, headed by Noakhali Government College principal Monirul Islam, has been asked to submit a report within 10 working days.
According to assistant professor Nurul Haque, the altercation was triggered by a long-standing issue with a water filter in the college dormitory. He claims that despite multiple requests, the acting principal did not address the issue, leading to the confrontation.
