BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola has emerged as the champion of the 'AIUB Inter-College Football Championship 2026', organized by the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The final match, held last Saturday (May 23) on the university campus, saw BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola face Dhaka College. The competitive match ended in a 1-1 draw during regular time, but BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola secured victory in the tiebreaker.

Rafsan from BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola was awarded 'Man of the Final', while Naim from the same college received the 'Man of the Series' award. This year's tournament featured teams from 41 colleges in the Dhaka division.

The award ceremony was attended by AIUB Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Saiful Islam as the chief guest, along with Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mo. Abdur Rahman, Deputy Director of Student Services and Welfare Dr. Ziarat H. Khan, Chief Public Relations Officer Abu Mia Akond Tuhin, and other senior university officials and representatives from participating colleges.
