MetLife Bangladesh has successfully settled claims amounting to Taka 1,384 crore during the first half of 2026 (January-June). This substantial settlement includes insurance benefits and payments for loss of life and medical needs. MetLife Bangladesh CEO Ala Ahmad emphasized the company's commitment to supporting customers and their families during critical times. The streamlined claims process, which allows online submission and typically disburses payments within three to five working days, has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

In 2025, MetLife Bangladesh set a high bar by settling Taka 2,895 crore in claims, the highest among all life insurance companies in the country. The company maintains a strong claims settlement ratio of 98 percent, one of the highest in the industry. This consistent performance has contributed to higher customer satisfaction and strengthened trust in Bangladesh's insurance sector.

MetLife Bangladesh currently serves around 10 lakh individual customers and over 900 corporate clients. The company's proactive approach and efficient claims settlement have played a significant role in enhancing customer confidence and reinforcing the reliability of the insurance sector in Bangladesh.
