Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Unveils Modernized Official Website

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has officially launched a new and modern official website aimed at providing investors, general citizens, and capital market stakeholders with easier access to information and services. The new website, available at https://sec.gov.bd, has been developed as part of the securities regulator's initiative to modernize its existing online platform and make information and services more accessible and user-friendly.

According to a BSEC press release, the website was developed under the leadership of BSEC Chairman Masud Khan and supervision of Commissioner Tanvir Habib Rahman, with the initiative taken by the commission's IT Division and technical assistance from a technology partner. Through the new website, users will be able to easily access BSEC's laws and regulations, enforcement actions, press releases, tender notices, important office orders, lists of registered stakeholders, IPO/RPO prospectuses, and other commission-related information.

Investors, capital market participants, and general service recipients will also be able to obtain necessary information about various BSEC services and related matters more quickly and conveniently. The website has been developed in line with modern websites of renowned securities market regulators worldwide, featuring enhanced cybersecurity, a modern and user-friendly interface, and facilities for easy access to information and services.

The commission expects the new website to play an important role in ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the capital market, facilitating the smooth flow of information, and expanding investor-friendly services. The previous BSEC website will remain closed as users are directed to the new platform.

The launch of the new website is a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the capital market in Bangladesh. By providing a modern, user-friendly, and secure platform, BSEC aims to improve the overall experience for investors and stakeholders, ensuring they have easy access to the information and services they need. This initiative is expected to contribute to the growth and stability of the capital market, fostering a more informed and engaged investor community.
