Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) conducted separate anti-narcotics operations today, resulting in the arrest of three alleged drug dealers and the seizure of cannabis and yaba tablets from three different locations in the city.
Details of the Arrests
In the Rajpara area, Rajpara Police Station arrested Nice Kamal Sajal, 32, son of Md. Shajahan Ali, with 240 grams of cannabis and 19 pieces of yaba tablets from Dashpukur. Meanwhile, Chandrima Police arrested Md. Sagor, 35, who was found with 25 pieces of yaba tablets. Additionally, Boalia Police Station apprehended a female drug dealer, Ruma Khatun, 38, wife of Minhazul Islam alias Chobi, with 100 pieces of yaba tablets in Goljarbagh Guripara village under Kashiadanga Police Station.
Legal Proceedings
Three separate cases have been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act at the respective police stations. They have been sent to the court for further legal proceedings.
