Khulna Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Md. Mostafizur Rahman today stressed that no political affiliation or identity will be considered while taking legal action against offenders. He emphasized that criminals will be dealt with solely on the basis of their crimes. "An offender has no identity. Action will be taken based on the offence committed, not on political affiliation or any other identity," he said while exchanging views with journalists. DIG Mostafizur Rahman said police would strengthen law enforcement through technology-driven investigations to bring criminals to justice.
Technology and Community Engagement
The DIG highlighted that alongside conventional policing, the Khulna Range Police would adopt a coordinated approach combining intelligence-led policing, technology-driven policing, and community engagement to improve crime prevention and investigation. "Policing will be carried out in line with the government's policy while ensuring active public participation," he noted. Police will place greater emphasis on preventive measures based on intelligence inputs to stop crimes before they happen.
Role of Media and Technology
DIG Mostafizur Rahman also said maximum use of mobile technology, digital data, and other modern technologies would be ensured to enhance policing services and improve investigative efficiency. He highlighted the role of the media, stating that journalists play a vital role in evaluating police performance and reflecting public expectations. Constructive criticism of police shortcomings by the media would help improve the quality of police services. Khulna Superintendent of Police Md. Tajul Islam and other senior police officials were present at the meeting.
