Forest officials in the Sundarbans confiscated 70 kilograms of venison, two deer heads, a boat, and various hunting tools during an operation. The operation was carried out in the Shakbaria River under the Khulna Range of the Sundarbans West Forest Division. The drive occurred around 8:00 pm on Sunday in the No. 6 Koyra Patrol area adjacent to the Shakbaria River, within compartment K/36 under the Kashiabad Forest Station.

According to the Forest Department, the operation was initiated based on a tip-off, led by Deputy Ranger Md. Nasir Uddin of the Kashiabad Forest Station. Upon sensing the presence of forest personnel, the poachers fled, leaving behind their catch and equipment. The recovered items included 70kg of venison, two deer heads, one boat, a machete, and a 10-foot polythene sheet.
