Tk 2.45cr Cheques Distributed for 151 Feni Rural Projects Under TR-Kabikha Programme

Cheques worth Tk 2.45 crore were distributed today for 151 rural infrastructure projects in Feni under the TR-Kabikha programme.

Cheques worth Taka 2.45 crore were distributed today under the Test Relief (TR)-Kabikha programme for the implementation of 151 rural infrastructure repair and maintenance projects in Feni during the 2025–26 fiscal year. The cheque distribution ceremony was held at Sadar Upazila Auditorium, where Feni-2 Member of Parliament Professor Zainal Abedin VP handed over the cheques as the chief guest. The event was organised by the Feni Sadar Upazila Administration and the Department of Disaster Management and chaired by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sultana Nasrin Kanta.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Fahmida Akter and Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Feni Police Station Sajal Das were present as special guests. The programme was conducted by Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Shahadat Hossain. Several local political and administrative leaders also attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Zainal Abedin said the cheque distribution marked the first phase of the programme, so rural infrastructure development would continue in the coming years. UNO Sultana Nasrin Kanta said that cheques amounting to Taka 2.45 crore had been distributed for 151 projects across the upazila. In addition, 66 metric tonnes of rice and 68 metric tonnes of wheat were distributed under the programme.

The TR-Kabikha programme is an important initiative aimed at improving rural infrastructure and ensuring the well-being of communities in Feni. The distribution of these cheques signifies a significant step towards achieving these goals and highlights the government's commitment to rural development.
