The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,744 cases against traffic law violators as part of ongoing enforcement drives across the capital. The DMP media and public relations division reported that, during these drives, police also impounded 504 vehicles and towed away 265 others. The enforcement actions were conducted on July 25, 2026, with the aim of maintaining traffic discipline in the metropolitan area. The DMP spokesman noted that the Ramna Traffic Division filed 86 cases, Lalbagh 143, Mitijheel 295, Wari 197, Tejgaon 212, Mirpur 382, Uttara 250, and Gulshan 189.
