Police have arrested two individuals, Al Amin and Riazul, in connection with the stabbing death of Volunteer Party leader Billal Hossain Talukdar in Dhaka's Ramna area. The arrests were made in separate operations in Dhaka and Munshiganj. Billal, the former convener of the Ramna unit of the Volunteer Party, was attacked on Monday night and later died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

According to Ramna Division Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Jahidul Islam, Al Amin was arrested in Dhaka, while Riazul was apprehended in Munshiganj. Police are continuing efforts to identify and arrest other individuals involved in the incident.

Billal was stabbed in the neck area near Anaarkali Market in Mouchak around 7:45 PM. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 9 PM. Following the incident, the central committee of the Volunteer Party expelled Ramna unit convener Didarul Islam Babu and dissolved the Ramna unit committee.

Family members and eyewitnesses stated that the incident occurred after Billal intervened in an altercation between Didarul Islam Babu and Billal's nephew, Mobarak Hossain (Akash). Billal attempted to mediate the situation, leading to an argument with Didarul, which resulted in the fatal stabbing.
