Three Aides of Infamous 'Grenade Babu' Arrested in Khulna Police Operation

A special police drive in Khulna led to the arrest of three alleged associates of the notorious criminal known as 'Grenade Babu'.

In a significant operation, police arrested three alleged associates of Khulna's listed criminal, known as 'Grenade Babu', in a special drive conducted in the city today. The arrestees were identified as Sheikh Asaduzzaman Mithun, 28, of Kashem Road, Md Tipu Hawlader, 29, of the Bosupara Orphanage Mor area and Md Enamul Haque Emon, 20, of Polytechnic College Mor under Khalishpur Police Station.

Khulna Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Shafiqul Islam said the three were close associates of the notorious criminal and were arrested from the Rupsha Ghat area. He said Mithun is accused in several criminal cases, including murder and illegal arms charges.

The three were produced before a court and later sent to jail, the OC added. This operation is part of an ongoing effort by law enforcement to dismantle criminal networks in the region.

'Grenade Babu', a well-known figure in Khulna's criminal underworld, has been involved in numerous high-profile crimes. His associates have been targeted in several police operations over the years, aiming to curb his influence and activities.

The recent arrests are expected to provide valuable insights into the criminal's operations and help in further dismantling his network. Law enforcement agencies continue to work diligently to ensure the safety and security of the residents in the area.
