Police arrested 57 individuals in special drives across Dhaka on Thursday.

Police arrested 57 individuals in separate special drives conducted in the Uttara West, Hazaribagh, and Jatrabari police station areas of Dhaka on Thursday as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order. According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, the arrestees were held in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding warrants, and other alleged criminal activities.

Uttara West Drive

Uttara West Police arrested 20 suspects during raids in different parts of its jurisdiction. The detainees include individuals wanted in regular cases as well as those allegedly involved in various criminal activities. Legal action has been initiated against them, police said.

Hazaribagh and Jatrabari Operations

Hazaribagh Police arrested 11 people during a special drive in different crime-prone areas under the police station. In a separate operation, Jatrabari Police detained 26 suspected criminals from different locations in its jurisdiction.

Legal Proceedings

Police said all the arrested persons were produced before the court after completing the necessary legal formalities. The DMP said such special drives will continue across the city to curb criminal activities and maintain law and order.
