UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has cautioned Elon Musk against meddling in the country's internal politics. This follows Musk's controversial posts on X (formerly Twitter) about a racially charged murder case that sparked public outrage and protests across the UK.
Starmer emphasized that while the police must be held accountable for their actions, inciting violence and disorder in the name of protest is unacceptable. He criticized Musk for attempting to create division and stated that such behavior is not tolerated in the UK.
Musk has previously accused the British police of discriminatory practices against white individuals and reposted comments criticizing police actions. The UK police and government have denied these allegations of bias.
This is not the first time Starmer and Musk have clashed. Musk has previously accused Starmer of failing in his duties as the UK's Director of Public Prosecutions from 2008 to 2013, particularly in addressing a criminal network involved in the sexual exploitation of young girls, many of South Asian descent. Starmer has defended his actions during that period.
Additionally, Starmer has supported a female Labour Party MP who sued Musk's AI company, xAI, for creating and distributing fake, offensive images of her using the Grok AI platform. This led to X having to comply with UK laws and take several corrective actions.
