The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has announced specific visa arrangements for Bangladeshi participants in the 140th Canton Fair, warning against fraudulent agencies and misleading claims. The Canton Fair, a significant international trade event, will be held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4 in three phases. Participants must submit an official invitation letter as the sole mandatory document for their visa application. The Embassy stressed the importance of accurately completing online visa application forms, cautioning that incomplete or inaccurate information could result in applications being returned.

Applicants are advised to personally complete their online visa application forms and avoid entrusting individuals or agencies with this task. The Embassy has not authorized any agency or individual to provide visa services and warns against claims such as 'guaranteed visas,' 'no visa, no fee,' 'inside connections,' or'special channels.' Forging or altering invitation letters, providing false information, or submitting fraudulent documents could lead to visa refusal and affect future applications.

Visa issuance, including category, validity, duration of stay, and number of entries, will be determined based on relevant regulations and individual circumstances. The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to 'lawful, clean, and efficient' visa services and strictly prohibits locally employed staff from claiming they can influence visa decisions or guarantee issuance for personal gain. Any violations will be dealt with according to applicable rules and disciplinary regulations.

The Canton Fair, held in Guangzhou, is one of China's major international trade events, attracting buyers and businesses from around the world. For Bangladesh, participation in this fair presents significant opportunities for trade and business expansion.
