Saraswati Puja Celebrated at Jagannath Hall with Traditional Music and Devotion

Saraswati Puja is being celebrated with traditional music, including Dhak and Kanshor, at Dhaka University's Jagannath Hall. The hall's field is adorned with 76 Puja mandaps where devotees, including Hindu students and people from various areas, are participating in the rituals.

The Puja rituals include the priest sprinkling Gangajal, devotees offering flowers and leaves, and performing prayers. After the rituals, devotees break their fast by consuming Prasad. The Puja mandaps are vibrant with the sounds of Dhak, Ghanta, Kanshor, and Shankha, along with the aroma of incense and the light of lamps.

Jagannath Hall's Principal, Professor Debashish Pal, mentioned that 76 Pujas are being conducted this year, and the event will conclude with cultural programs on Saturday. Security personnel are ensuring the peaceful conduct of the Puja. Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, is revered by the Hindu community, and Pujas are held in educational institutions and homes across the country.
