In a vibrant display of cultural unity, thousands of devotees gathered at Nandankanan in Chattogram for the Rath Parikrama, an event organized by the Central Rath Yatra Celebration Committee. State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin addressed the gathering as the chief guest, asserting that Bangladesh is on the path to becoming a remarkable example of communal harmony under the guidance of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The event, which included speeches from influential figures such as Rishi Dham Adhipati, Tulsidham Mohant Shrimat Devdipananda Puri Maharaj, and city mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, underscored the nation's commitment to non-communalism. Dr. Hossain noted the historical significance of the chariot processions at Nandankanan, emphasizing the tradition's continuity.

Mir Helal Uddin pledged to protect the land of the pond bank where the chariot is situated, ensuring it remains free from land grabbing by influential individuals. He emphasized the security of all religions, castes, and communities under the leadership of the BNP, countering attempts by a small faction to destabilize the nation.

The inauguration of the central Rath Yatra event was marked by the presence of Shri Harish Kumar, Assistant High Commissioner of the Indian Embassy in Chattogram, along with Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Deepak Kumar Palit, and President of the Central Rath Yatra Celebration Committee Hiranmoy Dhar.

This event not only celebrated religious traditions but also reinforced the message of unity and harmony among diverse communities in Bangladesh. The gathering served as a testament to the nation's ongoing efforts to foster an inclusive and peaceful society.
