Rajshahi Chhatra Dal Commemorates July-August Mass Uprising Martyrs

A solemn remembrance meeting was held today in Rajshahi to honor the martyrs of the July-August Mass Uprising.

In a poignant gathering at the Rajshahi College auditorium, Rajshahi Metropolitan Chhatra Dal organized a remembrance meeting to pay tribute to the martyrs, the injured, and all participants of the July-August Mass Uprising. The event, held this afternoon, brought together political leaders, student leaders, teachers, social figures, and a large number of students. Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP President Mamun-or-Rashid Mamun attended as the chief guest.

Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator and Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing the enduring legacy of the martyrs' sacrifices. Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr S. M. Abdur Razzak also addressed the meeting, highlighting the importance of upholding the martyrs' ideals.

Rajshahi Development Authority Chairman and Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP Vice-President Abul Kalam Azad Sweet attended the programme as a special guest. The meeting was presided over by Rajshahi Metropolitan Chhatra Dal Convener Rakin Raihan Robin and conducted by its Member Secretary Imdadul Haque Milan.

The speakers reaffirmed their commitment to democracy, justice, and human rights, inspired by the sacrifices of the July-August Mass Uprising. They stressed that the martyrs' contributions would forever remain a significant chapter in the nation's history.

The event was marked by a deep sense of respect and determination among the attendees, who vowed to continue the struggle for a just and democratic society.
