In a significant event at Dhaka University, State Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid Habib highlighted the critical role of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman’s nationalism in driving Bangladesh towards development and prosperity. Speaking as the chief guest at the launch of the book 'Shaheed President Ziaur Rahmaner Rashtrodorshon,' Habib emphasized that embracing Zia’s vision of nationalism is essential for the nation’s progress.

Habib noted, 'Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman envisioned a nation rooted in true nationalism. If we can deeply embrace this spirit and recognize our individual roles in the development of our country and its people, we can collectively transform the future of Bangladesh through accountability and unity.' The book launch, organized by the newly established 'Center for Research on Nationalism and Democracy' (CRND), saw the participation of several notable figures.

The State Minister also mentioned BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s efforts to realize Ziaur Rahman’s vision, stating, 'Under the leadership and planning of Tarique Rahman, we will move forward to build a new Bangladesh born out of the dreams and sacrifices of the July-August movement.' Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam praised the book for its authentic information and foreign references, highlighting its importance in understanding Bangladeshi nationalism.

Additional Special Superintendent of Police (CID) Md. Ruhul Amin Sarker, the author, described Ziaur Rahman’s state philosophy as a unique blend of faith, democracy, nationalism, national solidarity, free-market economy, and social justice. He explained that Zia’s ideology focused on participatory democracy, decentralized governance, and market-oriented development, aiming to create a self-reliant and united Bangladesh.

The event also featured addresses from Member of Parliament Mohammad Shamim Kaiser and Member of Parliament from the reserved women's seat Mansura Alam, among others. The gathering underscored the ongoing relevance of Ziaur Rahman’s nationalist ideals in contemporary Bangladesh.
