Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, today paid homage at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia by placing wreaths at Zia Uddyan. He offered ‘Fateha’ and ‘Munajat’ seeking eternal peace for their souls. The President was accompanied by several officials including Secretary Khan Md Nurul Amin, Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam, Military Secretary Major General A S M Bahauddin, and State Minister Ishraque Hossain. Earlier, Ahmad honored the martyrs of the Great War of Liberation at the National Memorial in Savar, where he was accorded a Guard of Honor upon arrival.
