Successful primary school teacher candidates have demanded immediate posting, an explanation regarding the NSI report, and a clear roadmap for the recruitment process. They also requested the Prime Minister's intervention to fulfill their demands. The candidates made these demands at a press conference held at the National Press Club on Wednesday (June 10, 2026).

The written statement at the press conference mentioned that despite nearly five months passing, 14,384 recommended teachers are still waiting for their posting. Many candidates have left their previous jobs, while others have not joined new jobs, resulting in them becoming unemployed.

A selected candidate said, 'Our demand is to complete the training process after posting in schools. Additionally, clear guidelines and necessary instructions must be provided for pregnant teachers, female teachers, and those who fall ill during training.'

Another candidate from Jamalpur said, 'My father has retired. I am the only earning member of my family. I had to decline another job offer for this position. Now, I have to take loans to support my family. Due to the lack of a job, my marriage broke down last month.'

The final results of the recruitment were published on February 8, with 14,384 candidates qualifying. Health checks (including dope tests) and verification of all documents were completed between February 22 and March 1. According to the rules, they were supposed to join immediately after this, but the entire process has been stalled for four months.

The government stated that although appointment letters have been given to the selected candidates, their final posting will be done after successfully completing the PTI (Primary Teacher Training Center) training.
