Rajshahi University's Institute of Education and Research has announced the opening of applications for its MPhil and PhD programs. The MPhil program is a 2-year full-time research-based course, while the PhD program spans 3 years. Applicants must hold an honors degree with a master's in any subject. Application forms are available from June 8, 2026.
The research topics must be education-related. Admitted students are required to complete one year of coursework, present seminars, and submit a thesis on an approved topic. Both written and oral examinations are mandatory for applicants. A limited number of fellowships will be awarded to admitted students.
Candidates must have at least a first division in SSC or equivalent and a second division in HSC or equivalent, or a minimum GPA of 4.00 in both exams including the 4th subject. Applications, along with verified copies of all examination certificates and mark sheets, two photographs, and a bank draft of 1000 Taka, must be submitted by July 5, 2026. Employed candidates must obtain a no-objection certificate from their employers. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Selected candidates will be notified to appear for written and oral examinations.
