Bazlur Rashid emphasized the importance of nurturing a reading habit among children for their future development. He highlighted the need for parents to monitor their children's activities and encourage them to engage in libraries, sports, and cultural activities instead of excessive smartphone use.

The event, held at the Rajshahi Divisional Government Public Library, saw the presence of Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam as the chair, along with Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Billal Hossain Khan and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir as special guests. Director of the Department of Public Libraries Dr. Sanjeev Sutradhar delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Bazlur Rashid stressed the role of parents in guiding their children towards productive activities. He encouraged parents to be vigilant about their children's whereabouts, activities, and time management. The gathering included officials, employees, cultural personalities, parents, students, dignitaries, and journalists.

The event featured various competitions, with prizes distributed among the winners. It commenced with the release of balloons and festoons, followed by a colorful rally through the city. The day concluded with a vibrant cultural performance.
