Primary Education Medal-2026 Award Ceremony Scheduled for Tomorrow

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will hold the Primary Education Medal-2026 award ceremony tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon.

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will hold the Primary Education Medal-2026 award ceremony tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is expected to attend the event as the chief guest.

Competitions and Participation

As part of implementing pledges 17 and 18 of the government's election manifesto, various competitions including sports, cultural, subject-based quiz, cubing, and debate were organized. These competitions aimed to foster children's talent and creativity and saw active participation from students in classes III to V.

Medals and Awards

A total of 21,828,693 students from schools across the country participated in the competitions. Medals will be awarded to the best performers selected from among 12,384 distinguished individuals in 15 categories and 65,546 institutions in two categories.

Additional Initiatives

The event will also showcase various initiatives, innovations, and measures undertaken in primary education across all 64 districts. Exhibition stalls representing different districts will highlight programs including School Feeding, Joyful Learning, Digital Education, and Foundational Learning (FLN).

Tree Plantation Programme

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is also scheduled to inaugurate a nationwide tree plantation programme at government primary schools during the event.
