The nationwide 'Startup, Science Project, and Innovation Idea Showcasing Program' begins tomorrow to foster innovation among students. This initiative, aimed at students from class six to twelve, will be held in three stages: upazila-thana, district, and national levels. Winners at each stage will be awarded by the government.
Organized under the Secondary and Higher Education Division's Educational Excellence Support Scheme, this program is being held for the first time. Its goal is to develop students' personal skills, encourage creative and analytical thinking, and promote science-based problem-solving.
The first phase will take place in 520 upazilas and thanas, with local MPs and ministers as guests. Nearly 30,000 secondary and higher secondary institutions are participating, with over a lakh teams registered. Each team consists of three students and two teachers.
Teams will compete at the upazila-thana level, with winners advancing to the district level on June 14. The top 100 teams will then compete nationally on June 28 at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Center, with the Prime Minister as the chief guest. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates.
