Students from the International School Dhaka (ISD) Class of 2026 have received a total of $1.7 million in scholarships from prestigious universities abroad. Recently, 38 students from this batch received their graduation diplomas at a ceremony held at a hotel in the capital. They are now preparing for the next chapter of their academic journey. Many students from this batch have already secured admissions to top universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong, including Sydney University, King's College London, Manchester University, Monash University, and Amsterdam University.
ISD student Niahra Mahbub will pursue higher education in Neurobiology at the University of California. She said, 'My experience studying at ISD from playgroup has made me confident and inspired me to contribute positively to society. Observing the changes in the school and the surrounding environment over time, I have realized that even small initiatives can have a significant positive impact on others' lives.'
At the event, ISD Director Steve Caland-Scoble said, 'The moment we hand over the diplomas to the students is a moment of great pride for us. This success is the result of their hard work, the sincere efforts of the teachers, and the continuous support of their families.'
Special guest Max Tunon, Country Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Bangladesh, said, 'Education is the main foundation for a meaningful career and the development of leadership at the international level. In today's world, we need young people who can think analytically, adapt quickly to change, and have a global perspective. Seeing the high aspirations and diverse talents of the students in this room, I am very optimistic about the future.'
