The Secondary and Higher Education Division (SHE) is taking action against 471 teachers identified with fake certificates. This includes 402 secondary-level teachers, 64 college-level teachers, and 5 technical-level teachers. In the first phase, 63 teachers have been issued show-cause notices.

The notices ask why their Monthly Pay Order (MPO) should not be canceled or suspended and their appointments terminated. Teachers have been given 10 working days to respond. SHE issued these notices separately today. The Inspection and Audit Department (DIA) under the Ministry of Education identified these teachers with fake certificates and recommended action.

The DIA inspects and audits secondary and college-level institutions to improve education quality and financial transparency. However, there are various complaints about DIA's operations.
